Nate Ruess!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.
I said it on the show, but I figure I should say it here:
We've got new interviews for the coming year! Oh yeah, you should be excited.
First up will probably be one with our good friend Nate Ruess, lead singer of the band fun. and former lead singer of The Format. It came out terrific, I honestly can't wait for you guys to hear it.
The second announcement is just as exciting, as I got to interview the up-and-coming band The Postelles. They were an absolute pleasure to interview and were absolutely hysterical, so I know you're going to love what's in store. Look out for them on the blog soon, and on the show in January!

Good Job.

Hey,
Guess what? We had a show last night! I know, this is a new occurrence, but what that I'm most excited about. It went wonderfully, and we finally were able to broadcast our interview with Matisyahu to the masses. I mean, it is online, but this was better.
AND, we also made announcements if you missed the show last night. On Thursday, I, along with friend of the show Adam O. attended a fun. concert, we were able to interview Nate Ruess (fun.'s lead singer) and two members of the Postelles! So those interviews will be coming for you next semester.
Speaking of next semester, The Happy Hours won't be back on for about six weeks! We're taking a winter break because I'll be back up in New Hampshire, but expect big things in the coming year. We'll have more interviews, more guests, mayybeeee a not-so-early timeslot, and other wonderful things. It will be great.
Thanks so much for the support!

News etc.

Howdy,
So, we have a show coming up Monday. I expect to be there and will do my best to be there if I can get into the building. I will tell you that much.
We got a terrific show though. The Matisyahu interview will be played. Finally, I know. I've been hearing some rave reviews on it and it's already on the website so listen up to that. We've also got an announcement of two more interviews! We're like a real radio program! EXCITING.
Also, this is going to be the last show until January, sadly. But we've got bigger and better things planned for the next semester, so you should be super excited for that. And I'm not just saying that to be nice, we really do. Concert reviews, CD reviews, new segments, a theme show, and many other MAJOR changes and additions. You're gonna love it.
Love you guys!

INTERVIEW!

So, we again weren't able to get into the studio last night. It's very difficult for this to happen, so we apologize. HOWEVER, we decided that instead of waiting around, we're just going to give you the Matisyahu interview now. We'll hopefully be back next week!
Enjoy!

About Last Night...

I apologize for our lack of show last night. I hoped and prayed there would be one, but we somehow got locked out of the studio last night, and for that I apologize.
What this means though:

1. Next Monday's show is gonna be PACKED. We've got our interview with Matisyahu, an announcement of another  interview, and a SPECIAL GUEST. Best show yet? I'd say so.
2. I may release the interview early on this blog if anyone really wants to hear it. I'm currently in the process of transcribing it, but it's a long one. However, look out for it because it may be posted.

Again, I apologize. But be ready for an incredible show next week!

11/21: Your Sunday Update

Hello.

Want an update on what's been goin' on? You got it.

First of all, our exclusive interview with Matisyahu was conducted on Thursday night and it went absolutely incredibly. Matis was so gracious, so humble, and it was such a pleasure to speak with him. The interview will be on the show tomorrow morning so be excited! I'll talk about the concert as well and I've got an intro, outro, some things. We'll make a day of it. Trust me, listening is worth your while. Matis is a fascinating man. The transcript is being made as we speak and will be posted to the website soon enough.

Secondly, I finally got two other interviews confirmed and ready, and they'll be conducted in about two weeks. Those will get played over two consecutive weeks (right before finals actually), and they should be great. I'm REALLY excited for one of them, and you'll see why when I announce it, which should be in a week or two.

Finally, we've got a show tomorrow. Listen to it. Great interview, great music, a great host. What more could you want?

Oh yeah, and follow us.

MATISYAHU Interview!

As announced previously on yesterday's show, we will be interviewing Matisyahu on Thursday. Exciting!
Well, if you've got any questions or comments for Matis that you'd like to share with him, send a tweet to us (@The_Happy_Hours), comment on this post, or send me an email (rfeinberg20@gmail.com). The interview should be up for next week's show, but I can't guarantee anything. I WILL try. I hope you guys enjoy!

11/15

YOU BETTER BE READY FOR TONIGHT’S SHOW

We got so many fun things going on, a.k.a. blocks of Disney and other well-known bands who I love with a passion. If you’ve been listening lately, you can probably guess what bands those will be. Oh, and there’ll be a new segment. It’s a little self-indulgent, I’ll certainly admit to that, but it’s fun. Listeners will enjoy. I think.

Also, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. You won’t hear it now though. It’ll be on the show. And trust me, it’s actually a big deal. It’s not some stupid little thing that you won’t care about. If you like music or me in any way whatsoever, you’ll appreciate.

I thiiink that’s it. Just remember: 4 AM, Monday morning. Set your alarms and enjoy.
